The Almost and the Nearly (2005)

Seating in two opposing arcs on the stage intentionally limits the performance space, offering the audience dance on a more intimate scale. Distinctions between presence and absence are blurred as dancers are drawn together and apart in an exploration of physical relationships at close quarters. Choreographed by Jordan Fuchs in collaboration with the performers: Toby Billowitz, Megan Boyd, Jennifer Dignan, Jordan Fuchs and Storme Sundberg, The Almost and the Nearly features an original sound score by Andy Russ, costumes by Joy Havens, and lighting design by Kathy Kaufmann.

The Almost and the Nearly was made possible, in part, with funds from the Danspace Project 2005-2006 Commissioning Initiative with support from the Jerome Foundation in celebration of the Jerome Hill Centennial and in recognition of the valuable cultural contributions of artists to society.
